Database driven, multi-language website
Objective
Wincanton are the third-largest logistics company
in Europe. Following the acquisition of a major competitor,
Wincanton increased their geographic reach and services. As
part of a major new corporate identity programme, Wincanton
required a new corporate website. The site had to be accessible
by Wincanton organisations across Europe. It also had to be
easily updated.
Solution
We developed a database-driven website, and a number
of micro-sites for their European organisations. A key function
of the site was the ability to support multiple languages.
The sites also featured content that could be updated directly
by each of the European organisations in its native language.
The website became a valuable resource, as staff trusted that
it always had up-to-date news and information.
