National recruitment campaign

Objective
The Fire and Rescue Service needed a national integrated recruitment strategy. This required recruitment collateral designed to attract candidates from the wider community.

Solution
We conducted research into the public’s preconceptions of the Fire and Rescue Service and followed this by interviewing existing staff members from a diverse range of backgrounds. We developed a series of honest portraits outlining individuals' hopes, fears and challenges. These were set against the ongoing modernisation of the Fire and Rescue Service and have become a valuable aid to recruitment from local communities.
